MURFREESBORO ATTORNEY ACCUSED OF RAPE SHOOTS HIMSELF WHEN CONFRONTED BY POLICE
(UPDATE) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says a Murfreesboro attorney wanted on rape charges shot and killed himself yesterday after being confronted by authorities in Mobile, Alabama. Agents began investigating David Whelan back on February 19, 2020 into allegations he tried to get a client to provide a sexual activity to him in lieu of payment. Whelan failed to appear in court earlier this week on charges of aggravated rape and statutory rape by an authority figure.
