NASHVILLE MEDIA FILES LAWSUIT AGAINST STATE PARK PRIVATIZATION ATTEMPTS
A lawsuit has been filed in connection with the failed outsourcing attempts at Fall Creek Falls State Park. Requests for Proposals for outsourcing services at the park’s inn have failed. The lawsuit, filed by media moguls Nashville Scene and the Nashville Post, claims that the state refused to produce records related to the RFP’s. Park workers and other human interest groups are against such privatization taking place but Gov. Haslam has pushed for the program stating that it will save the state money.
