NEARLY ALL HEALTH DEPARTMENTS IN TENNESSEE MOVING INTO 2A AND 2B VACCINATIONS

The 89 health departments operated by the State of Tennessee, including Cumberland and Roane County, has now moved into the 2a and 2b risk phases for vaccinations which includes critical infrastructure workers. They are also moving into the 55+ age groups for eligibility. If you are in any of these groups, you can sign up now.

Phase 2a includes Tennesseans employed in social services, commercial agriculture, commercial food production, corrections staff and public transit. Phase 2b includes people working in transportation, such as postal and package delivery, freight railroad, maritime cargo and commercial or cargo service apartments, as well as those employed in public infrastructure, telecommunications and utilities.

Vaccination appointments are widely available across the state, with many rural Tennessee county health departments seeing only a fraction of their daily COVID-19 vaccination appointments filled.
