NESTLÉ HAD TO RECALL A LOT OF ICE CREAM CONES BECA– USE OF LISTERIA

Nestlé is recalling a selection of its Drumstick ice cream cones after receiving positive test results for Listeria.  The recall is limited to the Drumstick Club 16 Count Variety Pack and 24 Count Vanilla Pack, which were manufactured at the company’s Bakersfield production site. In a statement, Nestlé advised customers who have purchased the products not to consume them but to return them to the place of purchase.  “The quality and safety of our products remain our number one priority,” the company said. “We apologize for any inconvenience this action represents for both our consumers and retail customers.”

Symptoms of Listeria include severe and sometimes fatal infections in people with more vulnerable or weakened immune systems. “No illnesses have been reported to date; the company is initiating this recall as a precautionary action to avoid any potential for consumer illness,” Nestlé said.
