NEW BILL PROPOSED TO SELL WINE ON SUNDAY
For anyone finding it an inconvenience to not be able to purchase wine on Sunday, that law may become history. State Rep. Gerald McCormick has introduced a bill for wine sales on Sunday. Such sales have been outlawed in Tennessee for decades, but many are complaining that if they can buy beer seven days a week, why not wine. Many different grocery store chains began selling wine in 2016, and managers say that customers have raised the question for months. They say they have to constantly remind consumers of the law. McCormick says that “it’s time to change that.”
