On Monday, June 17th, 2024 Roane County celebrated the opening of the low-cost spay and neuter clinic at the Roane County Animal Shelter!  The facility is a major step forward for local animal welfare.

Shelter Director Stacy Whittenberg is thrilled to see the clinic open and is looking forward to the impact it will have on Roane County and surrounding communities.

The facility was built by the Roane County Sheriff’s Office inmate work crew, providing the crew with valuable skills that will ease their transition back into society.
