We’re excited to share that the Roane County Office of Emergency Services was recently awarded a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to purchase a brand new 2025 Pierce International Tanker Truck. This new truck carries 2,100 gallons of water, more than double the capacity of many standard water trucks, making it a tremendous asset for our community.

Roane County OES officially took possession of the truck on August 18, 2025, and it was placed into service on August 22, 2025, ready to respond to calls and protect our county for years to come.
