NEW TORNADO WATCH ISSUED FOR PICKETT, FENTRESS

A Tornado Watch has been issued for parts of Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee, including Pickett and Fentress Counties in Tennessee. The watch is in effect until 10:00 PM CDT Thursday, April 3, 2025. A few tornadoes are likely within the watch area, along with scattered hail that could reach up to ping pong ball size. Scattered wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour are also likely, which could cause damage to trees, power lines, and structures. The potential impact zone includes a population of over 5.3 million people, 1,566 schools, and 140 hospitals. Residents in the watch area should remain alert and be prepared to take immediate action if warnings are issued.
