The Tennessee Highway Patrol responded yesterday around 7 a.m. to a school bus accident in Crossville.

The report released this afternoon states a 2023 Thomas school bus operated by 57-year-old Ronnie Laverne was turning right onto Highway 127 from Brookhaven Drive.

The bus struck a 2022 Hyundai Elantra driven by 80-year-old Ralph Jansen.

Jansen told troopers he pulled up on the right side of the bus at the stop sign before the accident.

The report did not state if any students were on board at the time of the crash.

Troopers states both drivers were not injured.
