NORTHERN LIGHTS SET TO DAZZLE TENNESSEE AGAIN TONIGHT!
Skywatchers in Tennessee have another chance to witness the Northern Lights tonight thanks to a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) which will partially strike Earth midday today. The National Weather Service’s Space Weather Prediction Center has issued a Severe Geomagnetic Storm Watch for Wednesday, boosting the likelihood of a vivid aurora display.
While the lights may be faintly visible to the naked eye in darker areas of the state, using a smartphone camera in night mode dramatically increases your odds of capturing the colors.
For the best naked-eye viewing, consider traveling slightly farther north to regions like New England, Ohio, Kansas, or Oregon.
Exact timing remains uncertain, so head to a dark location far from city lights, allow your eyes at least 30 minutes to adjust, and keep watching the sky for this rare celestial treat.
And should you happen to take photos of this phenomenon, feel free to post photos in the comments of our Facebook page.
