NWS CONFIRMS 5 TORNADOES TOUCHDOWN IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE
The National Weather Service has updated its report concerning Wednesday’s storms. They have now confirmed that five tornadoes touchdowns were recorded in Middle Tennessee. The first one hit in Williamson County, the second in Davidson County and the third in Wilson County and two in Putnam County. All were category EF-1. More storm damage was reported in Monterey with roofs being torn from houses and numerous trees being blown down. The Monterey Disaster Response Team has asked for volunteers to help clear debris. Volunteers should report to the Monterey Depot at 7 AM this morning and at 7 AM Saturday morning.
