The 2023 Crossville Christmas Parade Grand Marshal will be Crossville native and former U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant Edd Dyer.

Dyer served in the Marines from 1965 through 1969 with his service including a tour of Vietnam.

He filled the position of Commander with the Cumberland County Young Marines from 2015 until late last year when he stepped down.

During his tenure as local Commander, Dyer and his supportive wife Vivian helped the program grow, adding recruits and providing services for various community events. He has mentored and provided a positive influence for many Cumberland County youths, having many advance their training on a national level. Mr. and Mrs Dyer still remain active with the local Young Marines and senior advisor and event coordinators.

The 2023 Crossville Christmas parade is on Saturday, December 9, 2023, beginning at 4:30 p.m.
