State and local agencies are currently responding to a reported gas line explosion along Hanging Limb Highway in Overton County, near Monterey.

The Overton County Sheriff’s Department and the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) have deployed resources to the scene in the 3300 block. At this time, authorities have not released any information regarding potential injuries or the cause of the blast as the situation remains under active investigation.
