OHIO POLICE ACADEMY RECRUIT ARRESTED FOR CONTACT WITH A PUTNAM MINOR

From the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office:
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Dayton, Ohio Police Academy Recruit following an investigation into inappropriate online communication with a minor who resides in Putnam County.
On February 25, 2025, PCSO Investigators opened an investigation after receiving reports that the suspect, identified as Christopher Noe age 29, had been communicating with a minor via Snapchat. Evidence gathered during the investigation indicated that Noe had knowingly engaged in inappropriate conversations with a minor, leading to an arrest warrant being issued.
On February 26, 2025, Dayton Police Authorities took Noe into custody in their jurisdiction on behalf of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. At the time of the offenses Noe was enrolled in a Police Academy in Dayton, Ohio.
On April 3, 2025, Christopher Noe was booked into the Putnam County Jail and charged with Solicitation of a Minor by an Authority Figure and Attempted Sexual Exploitation of a Minor by an Authority Figure. Noe has a bond set at $225,000 and a court date of May 19, 2025.
