ONE INJURED IN CRASH ON HIGHWAY 70 AND POMONA
On November 29, 2025, at approximately 4:45 p.m., a two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 70 and Pomona Road in Cumberland County.
A 2010 Toyota RAV4, driven by 49-year-old Irma Francisco of Tennessee, was stopped at a stop sign facing east on Pomona Road and pulled into the path of a southbound 2008 Kenworth tractor-trailer on US Highway 70, driven by 38-year-old Jonathan Mast, also of Tennessee.
The Kenworth struck the driver’s-side door of the Toyota. Following the collision, the tractor-trailer pulled into the adjacent BP gas station parking lot. Irma Francisco, who was wearing her seat belt, sustained injuries and faces pending charges.
Jonathan Mast was uninjured, was wearing his seat belt, and no charges were filed against him.
The investigation is ongoing.
