ONE KILLED, THREE INJURED IN HEAD ON VEHICLE CRASH IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
One person was killed and three others were injured in a two vehicle accident in western Cumberland County this morning. Troopers say a 2010 Jeep Commander driven by 71-year-old Wilma Bradley of Knoxville pulled out onto Highway 70 West from the left shoulder of the road near Pleasant Hill Market and into the path of an oncoming 2006 Nissan Altima driven by 31-year-old Nikisha Blalock of Sparta. Both vehicles hit head-on. The accident report states Blalock, who was not restrained at the time of impact, passed away while being transported to Cumberland Medical Center. Bradley and two passengers in her vehicle, a 11 and 14 year old from Crossville, were injured. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says charges are pending as a result of the fatal crash. This makes the fourth traffic fatality in Cumberland County so far this year since January 5.
