ONE OF TWO MISSING TEENS FOUND DECEASED; SEARCH CONTINUES FOR OTHER
Loudon County, TN – Sheriff Jimmy Davis and the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office regret to inform the community that one of the two missing teenagers has been located and is, tragically, deceased.
Earlier today, with the assistance of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA), an underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) was deployed in the Tennessee River near the Tennessee River Bridge. The search effort led to the recovery of the young individual within close proximity to the bridge.
Sheriff Davis has made a notification to the family. This is a heartbreaking outcome, and our hearts are heavy as we share this difficult news. Our deepest condolences go out to the family, friends, and loved ones of this young man during this incredibly painful time.
We are incredibly grateful to our partners at TWRA for their skilled assistance and dedication during this search, as well as to all the first responders and agencies who have contributed their time and resources in this ongoing investigation.
The search continues for the second missing teenager, and we remain committed to bringing closure to both families. We will provide updates as new information becomes available.
Sheriff Davis and the entire Loudon County Sheriff’s Office extend their sincere sympathy to the grieving family and offer unwavering support in the days to come.
