ONE SUSPECT CAPTURED IN THP TROOPER SHOOTING, REWARD RAISED TO $20K
Braze Rucker is taken into custody at 3:13 a.m. Sunday in Princeton, Kentucky, by Kentucky State Police.
US Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms, TBI, THP and the Hopkinsville Police Department assisted them.
The handcuffs from Trooper Cothron, who was allegedly shot by Rucker, were used to take him into custody, said THP.
The reward leading to an arrest of the driver of the vehicle Rucker was a passenger in during the shooting has been increased to $20,000 on Sunday.
The vehicle involved in the shooting of a THP trooper Friday in Putnam County was found on Old Highway 109 in Gallatin, Tennessee.
They are still working to identify the second man.
The trooper shot is identified by THP as Trooper Adam Cothron, a 9-year-veteran on the force. He is alert and listed in stable condition.
Rucker had been added to the TBI’s Most Wanted list before his capture.
