OVER 70 DOGS RESCUED FROM ASHLAND CITY PUPPY MILL
In Ashland City, Tennessee, the Animal Rescue Corps (ARC), in collaboration with the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office and local animal control, rescued over 70 dogs, including many puppies, from a hazardous puppy mill and hoarding situation, according to a report from News Channel 5 in Nashville.
The operation revealed dire conditions, with dangerously high ammonia levels from animal waste requiring rescuers to wear respirators; tragically, some animals were found dead. The dogs were transported to an emergency shelter for veterinary care and rehabilitation, marking the first step toward their potential adoption through partner shelters.
This large-scale rescue underscores the intensive, methodical efforts needed to save animals from neglect and abuse, as highlighted by a rescuer’s comment, “This is how it is done.”
