OVERTON COUNTY MAN CHARGED WITH CHILD PORNOGRAPGHY

The U.S. District Court has indicted an Overton County man on child pornography charges. Andrew Blake Huddleston, 36, was arrested by federal agents from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations and is charged with receipt or distribution of a visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct and possession of and access with intent to view child pornography.

The investigation started when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received cyber tips from Google and Instagram accounts that both pointed to Huddleston.

Special agents obtained a search warrant in September, which authorized the seizure of Huddleston’s electronic devices. Huddleston allegedly admitted to the use of the app, Telegram, where he could enter chat rooms where inappropriate material was shared. This included images and videos of minors involved in sexual acts.

Messages from Instagram were also inspected. According to the complaint, “Huddleston did not recall the exact conversation with that Instagram user, but did state that he believed he was typically chatting with minor males on Instagram.”

According to court records, approximately 94 images and videos were discovered on his devices.

Huddleston has since been released from detention for in-home incarceration pending trial under the care of his grandfather, David Sampley. He is ordered to wear a location monitoring device and may not associate, either directly or indirectly, with children who appear to be under the age of 18; however, he can have supervised contact with his stepson.
