OVERTON COUNTY MURDER CASE SUSPECT ARRESTED IN CALIFORNIA

The Kentucky State Police says 29-year-old Edward Whitledge and 28-year-old Kayla Spivey of Overton County, Tennessee are now in custody in California. Both were wanted for a double homicide case.

On September 20, 2020 at approximately 3:15 p.m., the Kentucky State Police responded to a residence on White Oak Ridge Road in the Fountain Run community of Monroe County, Kentucky. Authorities found two deceased males being located inside the residence with apparent gunshot wounds to the head. The victims are 20-year-old Trevor Cleary of Tompkinsville, Kentucky and 19-year-old Austin Copas of Fountain Run, Kentucky.

Whitledge and Spivey will be extradited soon back to Kentucky to face charges.
