A vehicle accident on I-40 in Putnam County late Thursday resulted in an injury. Trooper Phillip Murphy says a Toyota Camry driven by 51-year-old Kimberly Ann Debord of Crab Orchard, a Kia Rio operated by 21-year-old Timothy Charles Bayless of Lawton, Oklahoma, and a Toyota Tundra driven by 61-year-old Joseph Ray Lane of Monterey were all traveling east at the 295 mile marker. Debord came to a stop for heavy traffic and was rear ended by Bayless. He was then hit from behind by Lane. All drivers were restrained at the time of the accident. Debord was transported to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
