PATIENT FLOWN TO TRAUMA CENTER AFTER HOUSE EXPLOSION IN ROANE COUNTY

Just after 4 a.m. this morning, medics and authorities in Roane County responded to a house explosion at 731 Gallaher Road. The residence was leveled by the blast. A 24-year-old male was found on scene and flown by air medical helicopter to Vanderbilt Burn Center. Many nearby homes were damaged as a result and debris was found several hundred yards away. The 9th Judicial District Attorney’s Office as well as the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Bomb and Arson are assisting the Kingston Police Department in the case. The investigation is ongoing and more details will be released as they become available.
