The Tennessee Highway Patrol and medics responded yesterday to Dollar General on Edgemoor Road in Anderson County after a pedestrian was hit by a tractor-trailer.

One lane was closed at the scene. The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office assisted with traffic control.

Troopers say the individual was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in stable condition.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol will release a full report, including the name of the pedestrian, at a later time.
