Knoxville, TN- At around 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, September 25, 2022, Knoxville Police Department officers responded to a crash involving a pedestrian on Henley Street at Clinch Avenue. The pedestrian, a 23-year-old man, had been struck by a car traveling north on Henley Street. He was transported to the UT Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead by UTMC staff.

The driver of the involved vehicle remained on the scene and was questioned by KPD crash reconstruction investigators. No charges have been filed and the crash remains under investigation at this time.
