From the Knoxville Police Department:

A male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle traveling on N. Broadway and was pronounced dead at the scene. KPD crash reconstruction investigators are on scene and leading the investigation. The involved vehicle remained on scene. All lanes of Broadway are closed between Atlantic Avenue and Chickamauga Avenue.
