Cumberland County, TN- On Wednesday around 6:35 PM, a couple was traveling in a Chevy Avalanche West on HWY 70 when they struck a pedestrian. According to the THP report, 65-year-old Francisco Cruz-Roman was walking with traffic on the highway when he walked into the path of the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was unable to avoid striking the pedestrian. Francisco has died due to the injury from being hit.

It was reported he was wearing dark, non-reflective clothing.

There are no charges pending.
