The Tennessee Highway Patrol and medics recently responded to the 1200 block of Clarkrange Highway in Putnam County after a vehicle hit a pedestrian.

The accident report states a 2004 Jeep Wrangler was disabled on the road. Troopers say 43-year-old Steven L. Elkins was standing in front of the Jeep when an oncoming 2019 Audi operated by 44-year-old Brenda A. Gadd failed to stop and rear-ended the vehicle.

The impact caused the Jeep to strike Elkins.

The Audi spun and came to rest in the roadway.

Elkins sustained injuries in the crash.

Gadd was not hurt.
