BREAKING NEWS – Some tense moments for a pilot of a small aircraft this afternoon around 2 p.m. Cumberland County firefighters were called to respond to the Rockwood Airport near the Roane/Cumberland County line after the pilot made a distress call stating engine problems. As crews neared the scene, the pilot was able to safely land at the airport without injury or damage to the plane.
