A DeKalb County fisherman called 911 yesterday to report a plane crash in Center Hill Lake near the Holmes Creek area. The pilot was James Luna of Auburntown who only sustained minor injuries and was able to get out of the plane himself.

The plane he was operating was identified as an icon A5 single-engine amphibious aircraft. Luna was the only person on board and crashed while attempting to land in the water.

DeKalb County firefighters responded to the incident, but no fire or oil spills occurred.
