PLANNED POWER OUTAGE AT LANTANA AND CRAB ORCHARD SUBSTATIONS SET FOR TOMORROW
Volunteer Energy Cooperative has scheduled a planned power outage tomorrow at about 1:00 PM CST, expected to last roughly one hour. This emergency outage is to safely remove a hazardous tree top threatening the power lines.
It will affect customers served by the Lantana and Crab Orchard substations, including areas like Crab Orchard, parts of Crossville, Ozone, Grassy Cove, Lantana Road, and nearby rural communities in Cumberland County and possibly adjacent areas.
Prepare by charging devices and safeguarding refrigerated items. Check VEC’s outage map or contact them if your power is impacted beyond the scheduled window. Power should be restored promptly after the tree removal and safety checks.
