PLANNED POWER OUTAGE SET FOR PARTS OF CROSSVILLE AND CUMBERLAND CO.

(As of 11 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2023, VEC has called off this planned power outage. It will be rescheduled at a later time)

VEC officials say there will be a planned power outage this Saturday (October 14, 2023) beginning at 10 p.m. Central time. The outage is expected to last about 8 hours. TDOT will be moving two transmission lines during the outage as part of the Highway 127 project. In addition, Crossville Feeder 244 will have a partial outage. This outage will affect about 9,559 members. All affected members are being notified.

OUTAGE TIPS

  • Keep freezers and refrigerators closed.
  • Do not use a gas stove or gas oven to heat your home.
  • Have alternate plans for refrigerating medicines or using power-dependent medical devices.
