POLICE BUST SUSPECT WITH BAG CONTAINING FENTANYL

A Cumberland County man is facing drug and theft charges. Deputies say they were parked at a Taylor’s Chapel Road location when they observed 36-year-old Marvin Randolph exit from a parked vehicle. A check with NCIC revealed that the vehicle had been stolen from Jackson County. Randolph was retained and a search of the vehicle turned up two clear plastic bags in the driver’s side door. Tests were run on the contents. The first bag contained 1.09 grams of methamphetamine. The second bag contained 74.19 grams of Fentanyl. Randolph was taken into custody and charged with theft, manufacture/delivery/sale of a controlled substance and possessing a Schedule 2 drug.
