POLICE CHARGE UNRULY MALE SUBJECT AFTER INCIDENT AT CROSSVILLE RITE-AID
A Crossville man is facing several charges including disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Police were called to Rite-Aid on North Main St. for the report of an unruly male subject who allegedly kicked a bathroom door and punched a water fountain. Officers were told that 34-year old Johnathan Wayde Russell busted through the store’s front doors and had run into a neighboring car wash. Police then followed Russell across Elmore Road into the parking lot of Walgreens where officers cornered him in a grassy area. Officers said that Russell came at them in a threatening manner and that the suspect had to be taken to the ground and handcuffed. A small bag was found on Russell’s person that contained .35 grams of meth. Russell was also charged with evading arrest and simple possession.
