Murfreesboro police are currently searching for 18-year-old Gavin Hitchings who allegedly wrecked a stolen car while fleeing from authorities. He then supposedly tried to carjack another vehicle.

Hitchings has several active warrants including felony theft, reckless endangerment, carjacking, and evading arrest.

On July 3, 2021, Hitchings mother reported him missing. The alleged incident regarding the vehicles took place the day before.
