POLICE: LEAVE VALUABLES HIDDEN OR IN THE TRUNK OF VEHICLES PARKED IN PUBLIC PLACES
Law enforcement wishes to remind motorists to leave valuables or purses hidden or in the trunk of a vehicle parked in a public place.
Crossville police took a theft report Friday from a female victim.
She parked on the west side of Centennial Park to enjoy a beautiful day outside with her children.
When she returned to her unlocked vehicle, her wallet was missing. It contained $500 in cash, a debit, credit, a WIC card, her driver’s license, and a social security card.
She called her bank and shut off the cards. She did not notice any charges on her accounts before the incident.
No suspects were named in the report.
