POPULAR FROZEN-BEVERAGE COMPANY RELOCATING HQ TO TENNESSEE

Governor Bill Lee and Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe announced today an iconic frozen-beverage company is pulling up its California roots for the friendlier business climate of Tennessee.

ICEE Company plans to set up its new headquarters in LaVergne, Tennessee, on the outskirts of Nashville. The relocation is expected to bring some 200 jobs to the region in the next five years.

Lee said he’s excited the “iconic” company will be calling Tennessee home.

Founded in 1967, ICEE had been headquartered in Ontario, California, for nearly 30 years. The company’s signature beverage is its frozen drink with a spoon straw and dome lid.

Company president and CEO Dan Fachner says he looks forward to the move to Tennessee and anticipates many more years of great memories.
