POSITIVE CASES OF COVID-19 RISES TO 576 AT BLEDSOE COUNTY CORRECTIONAL COMPLEX
Officials with the Tennessee Department of Correction said yesterday the total of positive COVID-19 tests at the Bledsoe County Correctional Complex near Pikeville is 576 cases. Officials added 1,678 test results came back negative and 73 results are pending.
As of last Thursday (April 23, 2020), 345 inmates at Bledsoe County Correctional Complex in Pikeville tested positive for coronavirus. The number was 162 positive cases back on Monday, April 20, 2020.
The prison has isolated the inmates who are positive for COVID-19.
Mass testing was done in Pikeville today (Saturday, April 25, 2020) for citizens of Bledsoe County and individuals working at the correctional complex.
