Crossville police responded Saturday afternoon to a possible kidnapping. Actions were taken by officers to find the person involved. That led them to a 37-year-old female found lying on Highway 127 South. Officers say the woman was in and out of consciousness because of her level of intoxication. After claimed to officers she was raped, medical crews took her to Cumberland Medical Center. She was later released from the hospital and charged with public intoxication.
