Volunteer Energy Cooperative’s Outage map reports a large outage in Crab Orchard, affecting nearly 1,000 homes, around 10:36 a.m.

The map says crews are working to restore the power as the cause is currently unknown.

Those affected by the outage should bundle up and stay warm if they don’t have generators or have a warm place to go.
