POWER OUTAGE PLANNED FOR LANTANA AND CRAB ORCHARD AREAS IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
Volunteer Energy Cooperative has scheduled a planned power outage from 11:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, until 5:00 A.M. on March 5, 2026, to safely transfer electrical lines to new poles on the transmission system.
This work will affect customers served by the Lantana and Crab Orchard substations, potentially impacting up to 8,803 individual meters in those areas.
Customers should prepare accordingly (e.g., charge devices and secure perishables) and check vec.org, the SmartHub app, or the outage map for updates or status.
Power is expected to be restored by approximately 5:00 A.M., barring any delays.
