Around 11 a.m. this morning, a power outage involving 1,400 VEC customers in Cumberland County took place.

Right after much was restored, a larger one happened involving nearly 9,000 customers.

VIC crews responded to the Crossville power substation around 12:30 p.m. and started repairs on an unspecified problem at the location

Around 4 p.m., repairs were complete, and power was slowly restored to residents and businesses.

The number of customers without power in Cumberland County dropped in 25 minutes from 9,000 to 0.
