Millions of dollars are up for grabs in two separate lottery jackpots. The Powerball jackpot is up to $307 million with Mega Millions up to $382 million. It marks the first time both jackpots top $300 million at the same time and both of those jackpots are still growing. Tuesday’s winning numbers for the Mega Millions drawing were 11-17-50-52-74 and the mega ball was 14. There were 4 tickets sold worth $2 million, one each sold in California, Florida, Georgia and New York, but no one matched all 6 numbers for Tuesday’s drawing. In the seven years since all U.S. lotteries began selling both Powerball and Mega Millions tickets, both games have never offered prizes so large at the same time. Federal tax withholding on either prize is close to $50 million.
