A pre-dawn raid yesterday led by Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Sheriff Wayne Potter resulted in a felony drug arrest.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by the United States Marshal Service, the Wartburg Police Department, and the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.

Law enforcement went to the residence of Rocky Durham at 104 Scenic Hill Road in the Frankfort area of Morgan County.

In a lengthy narcotics investigation led by the sheriff’s office narcotics investigators, evidence obtained showed cause for a lawful search warrant at the home and property of Durham.

Sheriff Potter says many weapons were recovered, along with drug evidence, stolen property, and large amounts of vacuum-sealed cash.

“It’s been a long time coming,” said Potter.

Durham, a convicted felon, will now face additional consequences.

Durham was arrested for the manufacture, delivery, or possession of a Schedule 2 drug (meth), manufacture, delivery, or possession of a Schedule 2 drug (oxycodone), manufacture, delivery, or possession of a Schedule 6 drug (marijuana), possession of a Schedule 3 drug (Xanax), felony possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft over $5,000, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a moonshine still, and 14 counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
