A preliminary hearing was held in Cumberland County General Sessions court today for a Crossville man charged with the murder of his wife earlier this month. Officers say 33-year-old Rony Noe Ambrocio Cruz was arrested after Sante C. Mendez was found deceased in a wooded area off of Village Lane. Today, the judge found probable cause to bound the case over to a grand jury for possible indictments. Cruz, who remains in custody, will now appear in criminal court October 27, 2020.
