PROPERTY TAX INCREASE PROPOSED FOR CROSSVILLE RESIDENTS
In a special called meeting this week of the Crossville City Council, Mayor James Mayberry proposed a 15-cent property tax increase. The reason was put on several projects officials are working to complete, including a proposed indoor recreation center. If passed, it would generate $660,000. The city council will hold a public hearing on the matter before the third and final reading of the new budget is held in the upcoming June regular meeting.
