PROTESTERS RALLY TUESDAY NIGHT AGAINST NASHVILLE MAYOR BERRY

A rally is scheduled to be held Tuesday night by those protesting that Nashville Mayor Megan Berry should resign. The protest is over the fact that Berry came out two weeks ago and confessed that she had been having an affair with her former bodyguard Sgt. Rob Forest. The rally will begin at 5 PM outside of the Davidson County Courthouse. Protesters say that they will also attend the Metro Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday night. The group says that the mayor can no longer be trusted because of her unfaithfulness to her family and the city that she serves. They say that Berry should have “known better” since she was a former ethics compliance officer. The group is already threatening to take action if Barry refuses to resign. If this happens, the group plans to start the recall process, which involves filing a petition demanding for someone else to be elected the mayor of Nashville.
