From Putnam County Mayor Randy Porter:

• “Good news! The Cookeville Big Lots Store will be re-opening soon! Variety Wholesalers purchased several hundred of the stores recently and the Cookeville store was one of several chosen to remain open. They will be restocking the store and an opening date will be set soon.”

The Crossville Big Lots location was reached to see if they would be staying open or re-opening, but a representative with that store location said it would be closing for good.

The Big Lots location in Rockwood will closing March 17th but will re-open tentatively on June 5th. The store manager confirmed there may be changes due to the vision of the store’s new parent company, Variety Wholesalers.
