PUTNAM COUNTY INVESTIGATOR BITTEN BY DOG DURING PURSUIT OF SUSPECT
Putnam County Authorities say that an officer received a dog bite while he was pursuing a suspect Monday. According to reports, Investigator Roger Cooper was at a home on Eller-Ridge Road where he was looking into a stabbing that had taken place on Dec. 10. When Cooper and other investigators arrived at the residence, they found several people there who began to flee from the scene. A pursuit of the subjects began and Cooper was bitten by the dog at the home while he was attempting to apprehend a suspect. Cooper was treated at Cookeville Hospital following the incident which included multiple arrests and the recovery of a stolen vehicle.
