From the Putnam County Sheriff’s Facebook page:

“Today December 6, 2024, at 12:58 pm Deputies responded to a trespassing call, that led to a disturbance, including shots fired, at 3475 Buffalo Valley Rd.

What we know is, Deputy Kayla Jacobs was speaking to one of the involved parties about their reason for calling. During the conversation the second party, who was located inside the residence, fired, what appeared to be a gunshot in their direction. Deputy Kayla Jacobs got the victims out of harms way and the individual who fired the gunshot has now been detained and is now in custody.

At this time there are no injuries involved, including no injuries to Deputy Kayla Jacobs.”
